Course Details The courses we offer follow the recommended syllabus of the DSA and are designed not just to pass the practical driving test but to make you a safe driver for life. We realize that everyone is different and will try to structure the lessons to suit the individual, we will also lend you any DVD or videos we feel may be of help and any other material we feel is necessary. One Hour Trial Lesson This is often the best way to start if you are at all unsure how to proceed. Before the lesson we will check your license and eyesight, then get "on the road". People often really enjoy this lesson and can't wait to get started for real, it also gives us a chance to assess your driving capabilities and suggest how best to continue. Weekly Lessons "Pay as you go" lessons. Take 1 or 2 hours at a time on a weekly basis or a couple of lessons a week. It's up to you and your budget, you can even book and pay for a block of 10 lessons and get a discount. Unlike the courses below the test fees are not included in the price. One Week Intensive Course This is exactly what it is, usually done over 7 days and ending on a Friday this consists of 30 hours tuition over the week (including 2 hours to attend the test) and home study using books and video/DVD's provided by us. The total duration of the course is about 40 hours and can be ideal for those who can't find time to fit lessons in to their busy schedule. People who opt for this option often take a weeks holiday/leave to do this course, as it is essential to book well in advance. This course includes the fee for the practical test. * Semi Intensive Course Exactly the same training as the intensive but spread over a longer period of time, usually 2-6 weeks to fit in with any other commitments you may have. This is a popular choice for those who want to pass their test quickly but learn at a comfortable pace. This course produces the best test results with current first time pass rates of over 80%. This course also includes any supplementary material and the driving test fee. * Midway Pass Course For those who have already learned the basic control skills of driving this course involves 20 hours one to one instruction (including 2 hours to attend the driving test). *
Test Booster Course
Perfect for those who are nearly test standard and just need a short burst
of lessons prior to their test. It is also ideal for those who have had an
attempt at the test some time ago but haven't had any lessons since. The
in-car training is 14 hours one to one (including 2 hours for attending
the driving test).
Pass Plus
Once you have passed your driving test the Pass Plus course is designed to
encourage positive driving and to show you what it means to be an
experienced motorist. With participating insurance companies it entitles
you to receive one additional years no claims discount on your vehicle
insurance. The training is divided into six one hour sessions, at least
five of which are taught on the road. The practical sessions cover driving
in town, rural roads, night driving, all weather driving, dual
carriageways and motorways. Pass Plus can only be taken during your first
year as a qualified driver. The course would be taken using one of our
tuition cars.
Motorway Lessons During your driving lessons and before passing your test you were not allowed to drive on a motorway. Your first time can be a scary experience. Why not let us help you make it a safe and enjoyable one? Each lesson is of a two hour duration and would be taken using one of our tuition cars. * Please
note - for courses marked with an asterisk only: You will be required to
complete a two hour assessment lesson before you agree to undertake the
training. This is to determine your suitability for your chosen course.
